“The human story starts in Africa…The work carried out in the East African Rift, in the Nachukui Formation in West Turkana (Kenya), traces our origins for more than 3 million years and up to 1.5 million years. This presentation will show the landscapes and the archaeological sites, the lithic tools, hominids and fossil animals discovered in this region of the 'Jade Sea' with the succession of the oldest human cultures (Lomewkian, Oldowan, Acheulean).”
